How do you handle a basement flood in the GTA?
We start by assessing the damage and checking for hidden moisture, then extract the standing water, dry the structure with professional equipment, and clean and sanitize affected surfaces based on the water conditions. When materials cannot be saved, we remove them and rebuild the affected areas.
What's the difference between a basement flood and general water damage?
A basement flood usually involves larger volumes of standing water — often from sewer backup, overland flood, or sump-pump failure — and requires higher-capacity extraction and drying equipment than a typical upstairs leak.
Do I need to leave my home during cleanup?
Most homeowners can stay in the main floor of the house. If the water is category 3 (sewer or overland flood) or if the noise from drying equipment is disruptive, we'll discuss options with you.
How long does a full basement flood cleanup take?
Extraction and initial containment usually take a few hours. Structural drying typically runs 3–5 days depending on materials and square footage. Reconstruction depends on how much finishing needs to be rebuilt.
Can you save my finished basement or does it all need to come out?
It depends on the water category and how quickly we start. Category-1 water and fast response often mean we can dry-in-place; category-3 water almost always requires removal of affected drywall, insulation, and carpet.
Will my insurance cover basement flood cleanup?
Sudden and accidental floods are typically covered. Sewer backup and overland flood require a specific endorsement. We document everything so your adjuster can make the coverage decision quickly.
What if there's already mold in the basement?
If mold is present we contain the area and follow our mold remediation protocol before rebuilding. This is often covered under the same claim as the water event.

Yes. We are a full-service restoration company — the same team that extracts and dries can rebuild the drywall, flooring, and finishes.
